The Champions For Religious Liberty Network is an exciting new program created by the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty. Their goal is to educate and empower everyday Christians like you and me to engage our culture and government from a biblically-informed perspective.

The network has three main parts. First, there's the 2KG Academy which provides educational resources and discussions to help Christians understand God's two kingdom perspective. There's a track for general citizens and an advanced track for developing leaders. You'll learn things like how God works through government to bless society, but also how the church has a unique role in proclaiming the gospel.

Once a church completes the first year of the academy, they can become an official Champions Church by partnering with the Lutheran Center. Champions Churches help develop leaders in their congregation and think of creative ways to engage their local communities.

Finally, the Champions Network is the coalition of all the Champions Churches across America. This allows the churches to share ideas, connect with each other, and speak with a unified voice on key issues like religious freedom, marriage, and education.

There are a few ways to get started. The Lutheran Center can come do a Champions Weekend or Religious Liberty Sunday at your church to introduce the program. After getting a leadership team in place, you'll launch the 2KG Academy and recruit participants from your church.

While there are some costs involved, the benefits are well worth it. You'll understand better how to impact society and government for Christ. And you'll be connected to a network of Christians learning to make a difference.

The vice president shared a video clip of herself repeating the same story on “The View” in January. Harris said she could not believe states still resist abortion “in this year of our Lord 2024,” before saying, “Women are having miscarriages in toilets.”

In his younger days, Bob Barker, former host of the television show, “The Price is Right,” hosted another show called “Truth or Consequences.” On this program contestants were asked questions and if they gave incorrect answers, there were consequences. There was a penalty for getting things “wrong.” Now the consequences weren’t life threatening. They involved comical stunts which may have been a bit embarrassing, but were endured as good-natured fun. At the close of every program, Barker signed off saying, “Good night, hoping all your consequences are happy ones.” It was an instant and enduring hit from the 1940s through Barker’s time with the show in the 1960s.

For Christians around the world, it’s Good Friday today. I know that it sounds strange to say that the day when Jesus died on the cross is “good,” but it is. The real, lasting solution to the problems in every human heart, even the very problems of the whole world, is the sinless son of God, Jesus, exchanging His perfect life and His innocent death as a substitute for our sinful life. In His death and resurrection, eternal justice is served, enduring mercy is offered, and real, eternal life is possible again for us, for all. The God who created us is the only one who can also redeem us.
